LED Dice

Would anyone find a use for these? Is it practical or does it remove part of the point/skill?

RED Monster Announcement: Modular Cameras, a DSLR, 3D and 28k

Rumors of a RED DSLR had been confirmed a long time ago, but what of the Scarlet and EPIC übercamcorders? On the REDUser forums, RED CEO Jim Jannard has explained it all: Scarlet and EPIC are the DSLR — all cameras are "part of the same DSMC system", so each and every camera will be part of a modular, build-your-own, still and video product line based on the Scarlet and EPIC 'Brains'. To do this, RED has furnished an insanely diverse new collection of components, with sensors ranging from the $2500 3k Scarlet to the $55,000, 28k EPIC 617 Mysterium Monstro.

12:21 read-thru

1st Full Cast Read - Andy watching

Last night we had thr read thru for our next full feature, 12:21. It was great to meet everyone and hear how well this is coming together. I can tell through some of the delivery that this is going to be a great movie. Now if we can just stay on track :p ...

Congratulations to the cast and crew to what feels like a great begining to a great film. I look forward to our work in the future.

We are working on completing the visual cut of out latest short, The Statement of Randolph Carter. Once that is done, it will be turned over to the Sound department to be scored and sound effects to achieve the delicate balance we are looking for.

Chattacon is coming up at the end of the month. I was unable to attend last year as it was my mother's 50th birthday, but I hope arrangement can be made so I will be there at least one day. It's always interesting to see what's out there and see how people react when we get screening time. Hopefully we will screen After while there - I have only ever seen it from behind the camera and on a computer, so I would be interested to see what it looks like on the big screen.

Andy should be finishing up with a new sript for us to work on soon. Looking forward to this project very much. It's intentions are to be the $1k feature, but we'll see ;p

We got the latest copy of our DV magazine and as I flipped through it, I noticed there was an article on influential female DP's in it. I haven't gotten a chance to yet, but intend to read it and maybe even do a write up for those who don't get a copy.

I wish I had more to talk about but until then, please keep checking out our new site and let us know how we're doing.

Howdy! Howdy! Howdy!

Just a quick hello to introduce myself to this wonderful world we have created. My name is Trish and I am primarily the Director of Photography for the Digifilms we have produced of late. I started out as the Set Photographer, but soon became a self taught DP. Part of neccesity (I love Joe Ovby for it still :p), part out of fear ("But if I don't, John will keep toughing the camera..."), but mostly out of desire. I have enjoyed my short tenure with DigiTribe thus far and look forward to bringing you many more projects in the future. I am always open to comments and critism and hopefully as time goes on, I will be able to share my vision for our "Silver Screen" with you.

So sit back, relax, and welcome to where we like to create magic.
